John Mauro

John has a passion for creating unforgettable dining experiences. With training from the prestigious Johnson and Wales, John's culinary career began as the proud owner of Johnny Ms Restaurant, a culinary gem. He has also served as the Director of Food Services for Compass Corporation, where he honed his skills in managing large-scale operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

John's dedication to excellence has earned him recognition, including being a participant on Food Network Stars, where he showcased his talent to a national audience. His culinary journey has taken him to new heights as the founder of Simply Delicious Catering and co-owner of Elms Cafe.

In addition to his culinary achievements, John is also a board member for the National Ataxia Foundation. John has been recognized for many achievements in the Ataxia community including the Myra Kraft Community MVP Award and a recognition as a Rare Disease Difference Maker. John has truly demonstrated his commitment to making a positive impact beyond the kitchen.

Whether it's a grand event, a cozy cafe, or a fine dining experience, John Mauro's culinary expertise and passion for food shine through in every endeavor.

Co-Owner

Denise Kapulka-Cariglia

Denise Kapulka-Cariglia is a co-owner of Simply Delicious Catering and Elms Cafe, bringing over 25 years of experience in sales and a passion for culinary excellence to the table. With a culinary degree, a degree in Food and Beverage Management from Newbury College, and certification in event planning.

In addition to her role as a business owner, Denise is also a co-founder of the Business Forward Females Networking Group. This group aims to empower and support women in business, providing them with valuable networking opportunities and resources.

Furthermore, Denise serves as a board member of the Corridor Nine Chamber of Commerce, where she actively contributes to the growth and development of local businesses. Her involvement in the chamber allows her to stay connected with the business community and advocate for the needs and interests of its members.

Denise combines her expertise to create unforgettable dining experiences and seamlessly executed events. Her dedication to customer satisfaction and attention to detail have made her a trusted name in the industry.

Chef / Manager

Warren Travers

Warren Travers is a culinary professional with a diverse range of experiences and a passion for creating delicious meals. His culinary career began in the military, where he developed a strong work ethic.

After his time in the military, Warren returned to his hometown of Roxbury where he joined Gourmet caterers in Boston, Massachusetts.

During his time at Gourmet caterers, Warren showcased his talent and dedication, and quickly become an integral part of their team.

After relocating to Worcester Ma

Warren become an Executive Chef at WPI where he provided excellent dining services for students, faculty and staff.

Seeking new challenges and opportunities Warren joined Heartstone Market in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. At Heartstone he gained valuable experience in managing a high-volume kitchen, and learned dietary friendly needs such as Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten Free options.

Warren's culinary journey eventually led him to Simply Delicious Catering, where he found his true home. As a part of the Simply team his knowledge of creative dietary meals allowed him to cater to the diverse needs and preferences of the Elms Cafe visitors.

Warren also plays a crucial role in organizing and executing outside catering events, where his creativity and expertise shine.

Executive Chef

Gary Menard

Gary Menard began his culinary journey in 1983 when he took on a summer job at the Publick House in Sturbridge, MA. Initially, he joined the team because his friends were working there, but little did he know that this experience would shape his future career. Throughout high school and college, Gary worked his way up from being a dishwasher to mastering various cooking stations such as garde manger, line, sauté, grill, and rounds cook. Along the way, he had the privilege of learning from seasoned chefs, both local and international, including the likes of Tsukasi Osaki and Dominic Gerhaty, who were renowned culinary instructors.

With a wealth of techniques, styles, and flavors under his belt, Gary took on the role of executive chef at the DCU Center in Worcester. For seven years, he successfully catered to groups as large as five thousand people, overseeing food production for numerous sporting events and concerts. Seeking new challenges, he then moved on to the Boston Convention Center for three years. However, Gary ultimately decided to return to his roots in central Massachusetts. Recognizing the potential of Simply Delicious Catering, he saw an opportunity to combine his passion for exotic and bold flavors with his expertise in authentic New England classics.

Today, Gary Menard continues to bring his culinary skills to Simply Delicious Catering, where he strives to create unforgettable dining experiences that showcase the best of both worlds.

Event Manager

Corin Lee Girard

Corin Lee Girard's skills and experience in event and community organizing make her an ideal candidate for the Simply Delicious Catering team. Her track record of successfully creating and managing events in the Argentine Tango community, attracting over 100 dancers, showcases her ability to plan and execute large-scale gatherings. Corin's commitment to continuing education ensures that she stays up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in event management.

In her previous roles as a marketing and communications coordinator and senior program manager at Seven Pillars House of Wisdom, Corin demonstrated her ability to juggle multiple projects and coordinate program development. Her experience in managing various programs, events, and gatherings, coupled with her expertise in public relations and social media, make her a valuable asset to any event management team.

Corin's dedication and hard work, as evidenced by her "Stress Remover" Award, highlight her ability to handle pressure and maintain a positive attitude in high-stakes event situations. Her attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to provide exceptional hospitality to diverse guests and donors make her an excellent fit for the Simply Delicious Catering team.

Jean Sagerian

Jean Sagerian is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in the corporate world and event management. After spending many years in the corporate sector with TJX, Jean decided to transition her career and joined Loaves and Fishes, a catering company, as an event manager. She dedicated 10 years to the company, successfully planning and executing various events.

When Loaves and Fishes was acquired by Simply Delicious Catering, Jean made the decision to continue with the new company and its vision. Her expertise and dedication led her to become the head of the event management team, where she played a crucial role in ensuring the success of numerous events.

Although Jean has decided to retire, her invaluable knowledge and experience make her an asset to the company. She continues to contribute as a consultant, providing valuable insights and helping to create better business ideas and strategies.

Jean's extensive background in the corporate world, coupled with her years of experience in event management, make her a valuable resource for the Simply Delicious Catering team.
